Tell me about yourself:
I'm Grandfather, artist, musician and curator from Altadena, CA.
How did you get into music?
Music has always been a big part of my life; from being soaked in good music since a child, to some of my family members being musicians. I first started writing songs in 2012 and from that I naturally became interested in production.
What made you want to start your own label?
The motivation behind starting a label was wanting to create a space and platform for not only my loved ones but, for other artists who are interested in pushing the thought forward.
How did your new album with Tairiq Bright & Garfield Bright come together?
We've all known each other since we were young, so in a lot of ways I feel that's when it started. This particular project (Infinite) came about when we made the track "Blue & Green." The night we made that track we had a vision of how the album would sound and the process we would take.
You refer to using music as a catalyst for healing, can you tell us more about that?
It's hard to elaborate without going down a rabbithole of science, metaphysics and spirituality. Without digging too deep, the vibration we put into the process is the same vibration/frequency received on the listening end. For us, our healing comes within the creative process.
What currently fuels your creativity?
I'd say brotherhood and friendship is in the forefront currently.
Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about 2092 Funk Radio Records?
Look out for vinyl copies of our Infinite-LP and check out the other releases on bandcamp!
