Our Tattoo Creeper project is a way to collaborate with talented artists to add their spin on our creepers. We love working with creatives in any capacity & we want to see the world from their lens. To check out more of Wayde and the rest of Billy & the Kidz, head to their Instagram

What was your inspiration when designing the shoe?

While designing this shoe I wanted something clean, classy, and durable. I love products and clothing that are resilient. Gold is a beautiful color, I wanted to incorporate that in my design and felt, that a tiger with a similar coloring pattern would be a great addition.

How would you describe your personal style?

My style is work-wear crossed with traditional menswear. I love the clean masculine look of traditional 1950s style but modernized with work-wear accents.

How’d you get started in music?

Guitar Hero III was my downfall, since that day I became obsessed with the guitar. To feed my habits of guitar-related hobbies I started building guitars and became a very competent luthier, I now have 5 Wayde-built guitars that I built from a block of wood. When my guitar journey started I quickly became in love with another passion recording and producing. I went all in on producing and even attended Oregon State University to get a Music Production and Technology Degree that I completed in 2020.

Are there any bands or artists that have been influential to your music/life?

I continue to find new bands and artists that continually influence me, I’m adamant that I will continue to enjoy modern-day music forever. That being said I have a soft spot for three albums that changed everything for me. The Beatles Abbey Road, Metallica, Black Album, and Rage Against the Machines self-titled.

What currently fuels your creativity?

My enjoyment of being in the industry and making something people enjoy is my top priority. Seeing firsthand the enjoyment my work brings to people and feeling fulfilled that my tens of thousands of hours are being used, learning to become a better musician and producer feels great.

What’s next for Billy and the Kidz?

Infinity and beyond, I am willing to live and die by my art and do what it takes to become the musician I know I can be.
