Our Tattoo Creeper project is a way to collaborate with talented artists to add their spin on our creepers. We love working with creatives in any capacity & we want to see the world from their lens. To check out more of Ambers's work head to their Instagram

Tell us about yourself & the shoes that you customized:

I’m Amber, I’m a painter and I was very very excited to paint some clowns on some goth shoes.

What do you want people to take away from your art?

I hope they laugh, I hope they cry (I hope they got to see the world as I see it for a moment)

What piece of yours is your all-time favorite and why?

My favorite piece is always my most recent piece. With each new piece I always attempt something I’ve never done before, so I’m always learning.

What’s your typical process of coming up with a new design?

I try not to start a painting until I’ve been able to see the entire thing finished in my mind first. Then I sketch it, make notes of the color palette I want to use, and go from there. My best and favorite ideas come to me in dreams or meditations usually.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

Everything, which is a problem. But I really super love things that are at least 50% funny (beautiful/funny, sad/funny).

What is your favorite thing about being an artist?

I like thinking to myself  “wouldn’t it be fun if ____” and then painting it for my own amusement. It has taken decades of work and practice to get to the point where I can paint something just because I think it would be fun or funny (that also looks beautiful).
